The term 'Effective' was first introduced in the Baldrige Glossary in 2002.


The term “effective” refers to how well a process or a measure addresses its intended purpose. Determining effectiveness requires (1) the evaluation of how well the approach is aligned with the organization’s needs and how well the process is deployed or (2) the evaluation of the outcome of the measure used.
