Agility

Success in today’s ever-changing, globally competitive markets demands agility—a capacity for faster and more flexible responses to the needs of your students and stakeholders. Many organizations are learning that an explicit focus on and measurement of response times help drive the simplification of the organizational structure and work processes, and major improvements in response times often require new work systems. Education organizations are increasingly being asked to respond rapidly to new or emerging social issues. A cross-trained and empowered workforce is a vital asset in such a demanding environment.

All aspects of time performance are becoming increasingly important and should be among your key process measures. . Other important benefits can be derived from this focus on time; time improvements often drive simultaneous improvements in work systems, organization, quality, cost, student and stakeholders focus, and productivity.
