I had no idea in 1991 that my first consulting assignment in Italy would eventually lead to hundreds of international consulting visits to more than 30 countries. Italy has always been a special place to work. I have lived in Milan for 18 months of my life. The language, culture and food were exceptional. The project involved assessing, developing, gaining acceptance, and implementing a Total Quality Management System with Fiat / Alfa Romeo and Pirelli. I worked for Dr. Armand Feigenbaum from whom I learned more than when I worked with Dr. Edwards Deming.
